Round 9 of the Chess Olympiad being held in Turin. Unexpectedly the Msian Men team turned the table on the much stronger Swiss, starting with our IM Mas’s quick 21-move victory against GM Victor Korchnoi (pictured). Everyone had thought in this match, Mas would have been the “weakest link” since he’s paired against the strong Korchnoi.
